Maybe it was the kind I tired.
I thought that was better, but it was a 24 ounce bottle, which is a lot.

He gave up 0 ER. I'd chat but my mom is already complaining that we've needed to leave for like 20 minutes for some BBQ at my aunt's house. She'd come here but she just had a disc repaired in her neck so she can't go in cars for like a month. My mom had that surgery a few years back and their brother did once, too. Maybe it's genetic?

I was playing MLB The Show today and I was the Giants (and Lincecum obviously) and they were playing SoulRat's Fish

(former no-hitter pitcher Anibal Sanchez pitched) and Lincecum struck out 20! Fish

That's not typical - my previous record on that game was 10 in a game...I doubled it Stunned

Hopefully the real Lincecum can put together a similar performance only with more K's.

Well this game took place in late August. I'm in season mode. Lincecum kicks ass in the game, too! I only do some of his starts (I do like 1/5 of everyone's starts to keep it even) and Lincecum is 20-2 with a 1.77 ERA Stunned

Stupid Roy Oswalt is 18-2 and right behind him in the Cy Young race. Matt Cain is like 17-4ish and Verlander (who is a Giant whistle

) is in 4th place in wins....that means 3 of the top 4 in wins play for the Giants. Too bad the other two starters I have are horrible.

Its cool, I did a managerial simulation on 2k8, and Jonesy ended up with 74 saves. Big Smile

I haven't checked in a while but at the break he was like 9-3 with a 2.50 ERA or so.

Wow. Thats just cuz if they have high ratings, they do good no matter what. Its gay, cuz the underdogs that do good in the season, end up terrible on the game.

Stupid Bochy rant

Lincecum, still sick, struggled all day but got out of danger and had 6 IP, 2ER, and 8K. He also threw 108 pitches. For some insane reason, Bochy lets him stay in. The first batter draws a walk (that took like 8 pitches) so he leaves him in. The next batter slowly works a single (and he still leaves him in!) and then the next batter hits a HR. Lincecum ended up with 120ish pitches even though prior to the game he said he was going to limit his workload due to the illness.

He went from 6 IP, 2 ER to 6 IP, 5 ER thanks to Bochy's idiocy rant

I was just thinking that. Normally I like how he'll let Lincecum throw around 120+ pitches but today he was lucky all game for every out he got. His line looked good (6 IP, 3H, 2ER, 8K, 2 BB) but anyone watching the game could see he was bad all night. Every hitter had 2 or 3 balls and a lot of guys were hitting it hard right at people and deep. After 6 he threw 108 pitches - that should have been it.

Just because I hate pitch counts, I don't think a pitcher should throw 150 every night. While I do think they are able to do so, I realize some nights they shouldn't....sometimes even 50 is too many.

As a result of this start it's going to be nearly impossible for him to win the Triple Crown. He probably won't even win the Cy Young. Hopefully he can finish strong so the season isn't a total disaster.
