That is high now, but average to low in the past, when they only had 4 man rotations! Tim will be fine. He has great mechanics.

Tim's dad is his coach and says that his work tonight was no problem. Also, consider this....most pitchers take TONS of pitches to warm up. In Lincecum's first game ever as a Giant pitching coach Dave Righetti got worried that the team's future was injured. After 10 warm-up pitches he stopped throwing. He said that was plenty - no need to wear yourself out in warm-ups. His next start took 20 and after the 20th Righetti asked if he was ready and he said "I was ready 10 pitches ago, but I didn't want to worry you". He takes 10-20 which is really low. Between innings he throws less, too. Even with almost 140 pitches he really didn't throw that many more than most pitchers.

On another note Lincecum never ices his arm - that's for injuries and his drinks.

True. Hmm...let's see...Verlander chews tobacco (:puke2:) and Lincecum doesn't. According to those classes I had in elementary school chewing tobacco isn't healthy.
