I just don't like Ruth. He didn't do anything wrong but he's like Gretzky. Cobb was the greatest player ever in everyone's opinion before Ruth. Now less people call Cobb the greatest player ever.

RANT: What really pisses me off is when people go "Can (player) be a unanimous electee?" The other guy replies "No, not even Babe Ruth was unanimous" Excuse me, not only was Ruth not unanimous, but he didn't even get the most votes in his class

Yeah, if he was like that today you'd think he was pretty racist but back then that was the norm. Furthermore, he put tons of money into Georgia healthcare and scholarships - both were (and still are) open to blacks.
