Least Favorite Ballparks of all time

Any Stadium that has fake grass in it

Any ballpark with the old fashioned astroturf.

The new stuff (Field Turf) is just like real grass, and is good. To see info on it see "Field Turf - Design & Construction"

It is used At Ford Field, in Detroit, and U of M baseball and football fields, plus at most college and many high school fields in MI. MI installs

Astroturf is short hard green junk over blacktop and is bad!

Three Rivers stadium, and any of the old round cookie cutter stadiums like it.

There is not a single NFL or MLB that uses astroturf

But I think stadiums that have open roofs should have grass

Including the Skydome in Toronto

What about the Packers playing at County Stadium?

They used to play two games a year there until the mid 90s

Some of those stadiums weren't bad for football



Even though Three Rivers had astroturf

They were the last stadium in the NFL to have the 2 letter G's in front of the goalines

Like Heinz Field can't put em in front of the endzones

It wasn't really a good football stadium - it was designed for baseball and had quite a few problems when used for football.

Baseball and football stadiums should never be the same.

Hockey and basketball work fine with the same arena as the playing areas are reasonably similar.

But it gets extra points for having the G in front of the goaline



And the Steelers had 4 Super Bowl Teams with many HOFers that played there in the 1970s

Angel Stadium isn't as bad looking as it used to be

It looked a lot worse when the park was enclosed with the football seats when the Rams played there

Actually Angel Stadium looks a lot better today versus as it did during the 1980s and early 1990s when they had all the football seats in the outfield
