I mean medical school when I said graduate school. Wayne State is the worst one in Michigan but they wouldn't want me. Average undergraduate GPA for people accepted at Wayne State is 3.55. Mine is only like 3.0 which is lower than every medical school in the United States (there are only 122).

The ones with the lowest average GPA for undergrads:
Howard University, Washington, D.C. (3.0 - African-American school..some whites are accepted, however)
Meharry Medical College, Tennessee (3.3)
Albany Medical College (3.4)
Eastern Virginia (3.41)
Chicago Medical School (3.44)
Wright State, Ohio (3.45 - should be Ohio resident)
Southern Illinois (3.47 - must be Illinois resident)

What sucks is California has a ton of medical schools, but unlike most states, they don't have a "bad" one. Every medical school (other than Loyola Marymount which has religious requirements) is rather elite so I'm screwed there. Most medical schools accept few, if any, out-of-state residents (unless their state does not have a medical school) so there aren't many American options for me. I can probably get into the one in Guadalajara, Mexico or one of the 4 Caribbean schools whose graduates are eligible for licensure in all 50 states (there are many more Caribbean schools but you can't be licensed in one or more states...generally Texas and California).

I might have a shot at the American schools listed above, but I'll need to get a very good MCAT score (I haven't taken that yet). The fact I went to UCLA will make up for my low GPA somewhat as UCLA is both a prestigious school, and is not known for grade inflation like some prestigious schools (e.g., Harvard where it is virtually impossible to graduate with a GPA under 3.0 even if you're one of the biggest idiots in all your classes).

The new edition of the book just came out so the old editions won't work.

The previous edition of my $200 chemistry textbook can be had on Amazon for under $10. I looked through it and the homework problems aren't the same. Other than that it's essentially the same book.

So I drained my eye yesterday, it hurt.

And today I got the flu, and Im hurting all over, this sucks so bad.

Baseball Season be here before you know it

I need Tigers baseball to act as my cure.

I'm the only new person in my organic chemistry class. Everyone else in there took the previous course the previous semester with the same professor in the same room. There was another new person but she already dropped out. To make me feel welcome, my assigned seat for the semester is in the very back row - I'm the only person in that row. Today a homeless guy joined us and sat in the chair right next to me. After lecture the professor told me he'd join us every now and then and that I should ignore the smell - he doesn't bathe as much as most people do. He stunk so bad :puke2:

None of that is really a rant though as I don't care. To make this more of a rant, I don't have a lab partner and my lab got all screwed up because they do things different at UCLA and I needed help getting set up. I worked slowly and my lab didn't work but it took so long I wasn't able to redo it. Oh well. I just hate feeling like the dumbest person in the class when it's a community college class equivalent to a class I've already taken at UCLA - where I have a degree from.
