Except for flurries, won't snow again in Trashy Park

About 3 and a half inches today in Trashy Park

Yikes! It nearly blizzarded here until about 1 PM. At least 6 inches here.

3-6 inches fell over much of the Metro Area! Got several inches on the ground, though. Today's Snow and the snow left over from Monday Night and Tuesday.

Then it warmed up this afternoon to 31 or 32. Almost started a mess but not quite.

Most of it will melt by Monday, though. Rain and 40 degree temps. Then it gets windy, dry and bitter cold again

Soulrat might get lots of lake effect snow next week;

That is the way it looks now! Bitter Cold air [ after a big warm up] by the middle of next week with strong westerly winds should bring lake effect across Lake Michigan and into Western side of state.

I hate tornadoes; Same goes for Hurricanes too. People die and property gets destroyed.

Rather have Snowstorms!

at least it's quiet! and people's crap isn't being turned into lethal projectiles...

The projectiles alone can cause great harm to people. Glad we don't get hurricanes but them twisters can happen.

There was a tornado that hit Allen Park and Taylor in 1980; It destroyed the Screen of the Ecorse Drive In on Ecorse Road in Taylor. There are photos of it on Michigan Drive Ins.com

I went through hurricane Elena in 1985, in FL, and even though it did not have a landfall in Tampa Bay area, it was close enough we had bad flooding and MANY tornados. Caused a lot of damage near where I lived.

The tornadoes are the killer part.

Yeah! But Hurricanes do great damage; Powerful Winds, Heavy Rain, Storm Surge; etc etc. Plus people often wait to the last minute to evucate or stay and ride out the storm.

I was in Sacramento when the San Fran earthquake hit in 1989. It felt like a tank was coming down our street...everything rumbled...and we were 100 miles away! That's all the more earthquake I need, thanks!

Earthquakes too! Actually they may be the worst because you have no warning. Even with Tornadoes; they usually issue warnings where tornadoes may occur. It could be a bright sunny day and the earth starts shaking.

It sure was that day in October! and the poor people at the World Series! that could've been a REAL disaster....

Hey gs. enough snow for you? There is at least a foot of snow here. I didn't have school, but my parents weren't letting me go even if school wasn't canceled.
