I have a lot of shopping left too! However, on the 6 pm news, they were showing how crowded stores like Meijer and Target were as people were buying salt, shovels and stuff! I don't feel like dealing with that crap! I will play catch up later this week or Next Saturday! Get it Done!

It snowed about 6 -7 inches in my neighborhood!

Let's hope we keep it until after Christmas!

Awwwww....but getting out on the roads in this mess is the most FUN! Especially laughing at all the idiots that get stuck in a ditch after passing guys in 4x4's that still only drive 35 mph!

Fun but scary fun...I put our car in the ditch a couple of years ago going 40 miles per hour on Hwy 12!

we had our snow day...

But no White Christmas; Third year in a row! 2005; Rain on Christmas Eve and Day that melted the snow that was on the ground; 2006; No Snow and this year the big melt the weekend before Christmas. Maybe next year! But I doubt it

Wonder what the record is for Detroit in snowless Christmases?

Actually, we have about a 50-50 chance of getting a White Christmas based on past weather history since the late 1800's

They consider having one inch of snow on Christmas Day Morning as a white Christmas. I suppose if the sun melts it after 12 noon it still counts.

But if it snows 5 inches Christmas Day afternoon it doesn't?

That's weird how that works!

Since 1871, Detroit has had about a White Christmas about 48 percent of the time. Since 1981, We have had 12. in this decade, 2000, 2002, 2003 and 2004!

1953 was the snowiest. 14 inches were on the ground Christmas Morning

1982 was the warmest 65 degrees and 1983 was the coldest; - 9 degrees with wind chills of - 25
