I think it does that because after so many posts it takes too long to open or something. There's a health forum I used to go on that did the same thing.

It will, don't worry! It's forumotion's policy (the company that runs these forums) that threads shouldn't have more than 1000 posts because they get too long so it locks it and starts a new one with the same title.

No, this isn't locked! I guess after 1000ish posts the thread automatically locks and a new one starts. This is the new one! This one will lock after 1000 posts and a new one will form automatically. I don't know why that happens. If you can read French this might explain it:
