Anyone seen any good movies lately?

I tend to watch a ton of movies when there is no baseball to be found. Anyone seen any good movies lately?

I finally watched Donnie Darko the other night because a friend of mine has been hounding me, telling me how great it is and I didn't get it hahaha I think it's one of those movies I have to watch like...10 times before it sinks in

nope! i do not remember the last movie i saw.

Last movie I saw was.... ummm, I think it was facing the giants. We watched it during school... I don't remember any of it except it was about football and they sucked and then they came back and won.

Watched 1408 last night, it was terrible, not worth the 4 bucks I paid

Was it really horrible? I am a huge Stephen King fan. Not so much of the movies made from his books though. Although I seen Dolores Claiborne the other day and thought Kathy Bates did a very good job.

I wanted to see 1408 but maybe I will pass now LOL

Donnie Darko was out there but ya gotta love any movie with Drew Barrymore as a HOT teacher!

Yeah she was hot, but at the end I was sitting there talking to the tv... and I was alone I was like WTF??? HUH??? LMAO

I remember an interview with the director where he said in the final cut, he had to take some of the "edge" off of it.....HUH??

I saw the Simpsons Movie rather recently. Other than that I haven't seen much in the way of movies...

I just watched that movie last weekend!!!!!!!! I thought the acting sucked but the message was good!!!!

We rented Shooter. It was pretty good.

oh oh Shooter was my FAV movie ever!!

I loved Donnie Darko. But it's difficult to get the full meaning i think. I had to read a couple of posts in message boards and check out the official Donnie Darko website. Much more got clearer then!

My recommendation of what i saw recently are:
11:14 - elevenfourteen (kind of a thriller. awesome!)
2:37 (drama about six high school students).

Crash was pretty bizarre. Not the recent one but the older one with James Spader and Holly Hunter.

I just watched Disturbia the other night, it was pretty good...

Last night after the game I watched 28 Weeks Later... I loved the first one 28 Days Later and this one really wasn't too bad. It was pretty good for a sequel (which I normally don't care for).

Can't wait for "28 Minutes After That" to come out!!

I'm sure their probably will be, every thing is done in 3's now...and no, I haven't, should I?

I did just watch 1408 tonight.... man, I should listen to you people more, it really kinda sucked. Most of the way through the movie it was okay, but it ended horribly

Children of Men is on HBO. Clive Owen stars. It's kind of like "28 Days Later" without the flesh-eating Zombies.
Takes place in England and some unknown disease causes total infertitlity and no more children are born, causing havok and unrest. The entire population goes berzerk, thinking it's all over soon....
Its pretty bizarre and a little freaky. Kind of post-apocolyptic.

That's why I liked it.

I watched this night before last and wow, what a disturbing movie... very very bleak and hardly any shimmer of hope in it... the scene with the baby crying and them walking through the fighting soldiers was particularly disturbing because as soon as they passed they started shooting again... it was a very good movie though. I hated how it ended. I wanted to see them actually at the Human Project.

I was thinking the same thing. I wanted to kniow if there were MORE babies and what was up witrh the project!! Part Deux??!!
I HATE the sad endings too.....
