White Christmas

While working on the music thread we were discussing a song. (The title of this post should be a dead giveaway as to which one). Anyways, while researching that song, I found this and this both of which discuss snow on Christmas Day.


Here are the odds for a select few cities that may interest some of our posters:

Percentages are based on data since 1960:

• Paso Robles, CA (my hometown - it made their list!) - 0%
  
• Los Angeles, CA - 0% dang! Double screwed
  
• Atascadero, CA (Paso's big rival) and San Luis Obispo (my county seat) - not on the list! Ha! Paso Robles is better!
  
• Tampa, FL - 0% (sorry )
  
• Detroit, MI - 50% chance of 1 inch, 13% chance of 5 inches, 0% chance of 10 inches.
  
• Muskegon, MI - 70% chance of 1 inch, 37% chance of 5 inches, 13% chance of 10+ inches. (congratulations )
  
• Cleveland, OH - 50% chance of 1 inch, 17% chance of 5 inches, 0% chance of 10 inches.
  
• Toledo, OH - 57% chance of 1 inch, 3% chance of 5 inches, 0% chance of 10 inches.
  
• Baton Rouge, LA - 0% chance of snow this year.( Sorry C- :durbin: ...don't give up though, there was snow in New Orleans on Christmas Eve in 2004!)
  

The question is, will you get snow this year? What do you think?

So unfortunately... meant something along the lines of "we'll get snow but unfortunately not 10+ inches?"

I voted NO!! DUH!!

come on, I remember snow flakes in tampa bay area.. One or two times in 13 years, but it happens.

I even remember days where peoples solar panels (for pools or hot water tanks) would freeze.

No, unfortunately snow will cover up my beautiful green lawn. It's like mother nature is puking all over the place...

There will be no snow! At least in Trashy Park Michigan!

We will probably have piles of dead leaves all over the neighborhood! The city of Lincoln Park won't clean up the leaves from all the trees behind the park; Nor will most of my hillbilly and Mexican neighbors clean their lawns either

It will rain and be 56 degrees on Christmas Day in Detroit!

I'm guessing partly cloudy with a high of 60 in Paso Robles. That won't work!

It rarely ever snows ON Christmas here. It will snow the day before, so there will still be snow everywhere it will just be black and nasty, or it will snow a week later. I always wanted to get a big snow on Christmas but that only happend one year, we got like 3 feet on or after Christmas it was fun!
