| Anyone excited about the upcoming NBA season? Basketball is, by far, my favorite sport and the Boston Celtics are, by far, my favorite team in professional sports--although I am a huge Pistons fan as well!
I HATE the fact my Celtics have a 'two year rental' on their team, by the trades for Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett (especially trading Al Jefferson). Even if the Celtics win #17, it will have such a tainted stench on it that it wouldn't be worth it.
On Pistons talk, I hope/expect Jason Maxiell to have a larger role on the team this year. I was disappointed in Tayshaun Prince's 2006 campaign, as I was hoping that it would be his breakout year. Perhaps what he's done the past three years is his limit, which is OK too.
I, naturally, hate the Lakers and hope they never win another game. Sadly, I find myself pulling for the Bulls (another team I hated--fucking Michael Jordan) and I have to admit, I'm a big Gilbert Arenas fan.
I think 2008 will (finally) be Dallas' year, defeating the Pistons in the NBA finals. My Final Four will be Dallas, Phoenix, Detroit, and Boston.

| Hi! I like basketball but baseball is #1 for me (hockey and football are better, too). Go Pistons! | |

Granderson said they'd have a good team. He gave his lineup on his blog. I don't remember who was where but he had Verlander as the center.

Guys on our team say they can play, so I'm not too sure, but here we go:
PG: Polanco (two-time MVP in high school) SG: Me -- I gotta represent my basketball skills SF: Monroe (second team all-state in Texas, holds record at high school for 11 3's in one game, and the biggest complaint was Dick Vitale said he could play) PF: Marcus Thames or Carlos Guillen C: Verlander
I know our team seems kind of short, but hopefully we could shoot the ball pretty well, and size wouldn't be much of an issue.

I know our team seems kind of short, but hopefully we could shoot the ball pretty well, and size wouldn't be much of an issue. I just noticed you posted this. Yeah, that's the lineup I was talking about. It might be fun to watch them vs. the Pistons and then Pistons vs. Tigers in baseball. Who would embarss themselves more? The Tigers in basketball or the Pistons in baseball? My guess: - Spoiler:
While the Tigers would get killed (I'd say 142-30) they'd embarass themselves less than the Pistons would in baseball (I'd say 34-0 and another Verlander no-hitter...Inge's error would cost him the perfect game).

Cause he'd look way too skinny in a basketball uniform?

Cause he'd look way too skinny in a basketball uniform? When Curtis posted that, Miller was a Flying Tiger, not a Tiger.
