I was offered Miguel, Rickie Weeks, and Jayson Werth for Pedroia and Huff, I want Miguel but I can't give up Pedroia.

His batting average sucks, but looking at the counting stats, he hit 14 homers and stole 19 bases, and that was only in 129 games. He hasn't been a full-time starter yet, which could scare you off. In a 162 game average, he'll 19 homers and steal 28 bases, which is really great in fantasy. Pedroia only hit 17 homers and stole 20 bases last year. In fact, if you look at Weeks' 162 game average and compare it to what Pedroia did last year, it's very comparable. The question is, will he get enough PA to accomplish this? That's the risk. If Weeks gets 155 games in and continues to produce at the rate that he's producing, there's virtually no difference in him and Pedroia, fantasy-wise.

Cabrera is head and shoulder's above Huff and Werth is a 20-20 guy with 30-30 potential. Even if you can get a guy like Felipe Lopez or Asdrubal Cabrera to backup Weeks, you'd still make out in that trade.

Well I countered the trade but if he rejects it I'll try to redo that offer.

I also want to point out that I could be dead wrong on Weeks.

I offered Berkman, and some other person I have on my bench. Not sure yet.

Also, I didn't realize Huff was as good as he was last year. It makes me rethink my advice...

Yeah, I was reluctant on giving him up, but at the same time not since I have Adrian Gonzalez as my Utility.

I would do a Berkman for Cabrera deal straight up.

It seems like Cabrera has been in the majors forever, but he's only going to be 26 next year and entering his prime. He didn't get off to a very good start last year (mainly due to the switching of leagues) and he still had career highs in homers and RBI. Now that he knows AL pitching, look out. I'm predicting 40 homers for Cabrera easily, maybe even 45. RBI are harder to predict, but there's no reason to not believe that he'll reach 120 again.

But that might be bias talking...

Well, Capps for Wood is a wash. Adrian Gonzalez is better than Jason Giambi and Jason Bay is better than Ramon Hernandez. So the question is, does the addition of George Sherrill and Scott Baker make up for it? The answer is a big "NO." Closers like Shrrill are relatively easy to get as are starters like Baker, essentially you'd be overpaying for them. (You could probably pick up players like that on the waiver wire at some point in the season).

In short, don't do the trade.
