This is a first of 6 films with Nick and Nora Charles who are detectives who solve crimes.

The plot is simple to follow: A man, Clyde Wynant, disappears about the same time his lover is murdered. Everyone suspects that he's the killer until Nick Charles reveals the real murderer. It's very well paced with more comedy than drama in it. The acting is really well-done as William Powell does a great job as Nick Charles. Overall, a very enjoyable movie and this makes me want to watch the sequels especially since James Stewart is in the 2nd one, After the Thin Man.

91/100
