I just finished watching this...

Thoughts: The acting was definitely better than the plot. For being such an old movie, there were some recognizable actors in here. The actor that played Jim's dad was Jim Backus who I recognized from Gilligan's Island. The detective was Edward Platt who I recognized from Get Smart. Then of course there's James Dean, Natalie Wood and Sal Mineo. All of them do a pretty decent job in this movie. As far as the plot, it just didn't seem all that realistic to me. The first 50 minutes or so were very exciting and then it went all downhill. The last 10 minutes or so were pretty good, though. Unfortunately, the overall score is going to hurt because of this. Overall, I just didn't care for this movie.

73/100

About time you watch this :haha:
I rewatched this with my sister once and it didn't seem as good the second time. The fact that Natalie Wood fell in love with James Dean the night her boyfriend died seemed to be a much bigger plot whole the second time.
