DETROIT -- The Tigers and FSN Detroit are hosting an on-air auction Sunday during the telecast of the team's game against Cleveland, beginning at 1:05 p.m.

There are three auction packages, from which proceeds will benefit the Detroit Tigers Foundation. Also, the first 50 people to donate $50 or more will receive a special prize package.

Fans can make bids or donations by calling 313-471-2100 during the telecast. Bidding will close at the start of the 8th inning.

Package A


• Four tickets to a 2008 regular season game.
  
• Opportunity to watch batting practice from the field.
  
• Opportunity for one to throw a ceremonial first pitch.

At the first ST game we went to, there was an auction going on. We met the guy that placed the winning bid, $350, on the bat Maggs had used in the game..and he'd signed it! It was like touching a relic...still sticky with pine tar. I think he got a bargain, personally!

Could you imagine spending an inning in the booth with Rod & Mario!!!! That would be a riot!!!!

It reminds me of something Miller said yesterday, his game before yesterday he didn't wear a cup I guess and he got hit twice with batted balls, yesterday he got hit again by a batted ball and he said "I remembered my cup this time!" omg I was dying when the radio guys were discussing it
