I don't know that I like this lineup. think switching it around a bit might be better after last night's fiasco.

Is Leyland doing his friend LaRussa a favor or something? I don't get Santiago batting at all. Surely Shelton + Casey + Guillen is better than Santiago + Casey + Guillen?

I hope the tigers put a few runs on the board quickly tonight!

Ya, that's why I'm nervous Ordonez's bat from ALCS game 4 is in cooperstown, they'll probably see it's corked in the next few days so the best lineup ever (Yankees) will have to take over for the Tigers. Clearly we're a terrible team so we must cheat. Seriously, though I like the scoreless inning by Rogers. He gave up a hit but that's what he does and its runs that count.

I'm so happy for Rogers. People won't get off his back. After today his postseason ERA is going to go from 8.85 to 4.25 for his postseason career (assuming he leaves after 7). 4.25 isn't that bad and another shutout in game 6 would make it in the high 3's.

I have quite a few friends from the St. Louis myself. But I doubt we'll be communicating with each other until sometime after the series are over. I wouldn't want to ruin good friendships over this.

I think they make too much of things like that. Remember earlier how so many people were saying that Rogers always fades after the All Star break? Well, he struggled for a little while. But then he was terrific down the stretch. So much for the second half slump syndrome.
