The reason crowds are down at JLA is because of the Economy in Michigan, and the fact the Wings have among the highest ticket prices [ Sorry Mike, lowering 200 22 dollar seats to nine dollars is not enough] in the NHL! In addition, there is still backlash from the lockout, games on a network [ Versus] that the majority of hockey fans across the nation can't get, and the fact the Wings have suffered early postseason exits the last few seasons; You can't blame people if they are relunctant to get on board;

There was an article on Yahoo! last week deciding who the new hockeytown should be since Detroit sucks. JLA is the largest arena in hockey (I think...it's at least close). That's part of the reason. I mean, Detroit isn't the biggest city out there....

They had a sellout streak that lasted nearly 10 years
