And I love how the Tigers have three straight day games Next Sat, Sun and Monday

And the Lions have to play a 1pm game next Saturday

Why couldn't they at least play at home this weekend

If it were an 8pm kickoff; I probably could have worn my Lions hoodie

And it is always 68 degrees inside Ford Field regardless; I could have carried the jersey and put it on when I got there


But I can't wear a jersey next week; then take it off at Comerica because it 87 degrees and end up losing it or somebody maybe grabbing it from me when I am standing for the 7th inning stretch or something

This weather has been ridiculous. This has been one of the worst late summer heat waves ever. It's been well over 100 for a few days now (with some days just missing 110). Weather.com calls for 103 tomorrow, 104 Thursday, 98 Friday and then finally it "cools" to 90 and then the upper 80s. The following weekend should hit 95 though


This is the hottest it's been all summer. Usually that happens a few months earlier. September is only supposed to be lower-to-mid-80s!

In contrast; the weather here has been great the last several days; 75 degrees; sunny right now; 39 percent humidity; dewpoint 46;


63 degrees, 72 degrees; 61 degrees, 67 degrees and 70 degrees; those were the game time temps the last five Tigers home games; I wore my Tigers jerseys all homestand long so far; except Saturday;when i wore my Barry Sanders jersey; I can't remember it being this cool late August- early Sept; Heck; the base umpires wore their heavy umpire jackets; Friday Night and Sunday; long sleeve windbreaker jackets last night; figures Home plate umpire Tom Hallion wore a light blue shirt last night; he never wears light blue behind the plate it was 70 at game time; calm winds; temp was 65 at 10 pm when game ended; they could have all worn light blue shirts; wasn't that cool for windbreaker long sleeve jackets


However; Cuzzi and Crawford usually wear light blue behind the plate; as does O'Nora; who won't work the plate this series; Crawford, Cuzzi and Hallion have worked 4 series at Comerica so far this year; Hickox and I think Scott Barry worked a couple of them with Cuzzi, Crawford and Hallion this year; Haven't had Tim McClelland much this year at Comerica; maybe once?

Yeah, lots of fires. That's typical for this time of year. They're always in the same general area so I don't really worry or pay attention to them. The one's this year are worse than normal since they're a few miles away from where they usually are.

Had an earthquake of 4.0 5 miles west of my hometown yesterday

Obviously there was no damage reported on such a tiny earthquake but you could feel it. It was around 8 PM so I was awake at the time.

TONS of rain yesterday. Something like 6 or 7 inches I think they said. It was the most rain we've had in a single day in like 6 years. Given that last year was the least rain this area has had in decades and most of California is in one of its biggest droughts in history, the rain is a good thing.

Raining today but not nearly as much.

Just read online that yesterday's rain was the biggest rainfall in October since 1962. Some of the reservoirs up north got a foot of rain yesterday!

Yep, they make as much sense as the global warming people... It is getting warmer because of global warming, then when we have a summer that is cooler than it has been in 50 years, that is because of global warming!

It shows that there are cycles, and the weather people are just guessing!
