That's the way to go...healthier, too. I'm not a vegetarian by any means, but I've never really been a big fan of meat anyways. I had some homemade chicken noodle soup today so obviously that's not vegetarian, but other than that I've been meat-free. We switched to soy milk instead of regular milk so that's a start, too I guess.

| Hunting deer, pheasants, quail and such is much more healthy than the meat you get at the store that are full of growth hormones, antibiotics, and other junk.
I try to only eat organic eggs, beef, etc.

I could use a bowl It is good! Unlike the canned version there's hardly any salt. We used chicken, celery, carrots, garlic, potato, and cilantro (all should be salt-free or close to it) as the main ingredients and then a can of chicken broth and water for the broth. The can of chicken broth has less salt (1.88g) than a can of Campbell's chicken noodle soup (2.225g) but it's diluted to an entire crock pot instead of just 1 bowl.

We switched to soy milk instead of regular milk so that's a start, too I guess. You need to watch the soy milk though. Two senior US government scientists have revealed that chemicals in soy could increase the risk of breast cancer in women, brain damage in both men and women, and abnormalities in infants.

| Campbell's commercials say their soups are full of flavor. Yup, MSG and waaaaaaaaaaay too much sodium. Progresso is a little better. | |

Best kind of soup to make, homemade! Crock pots are the best...just chop up some vegetables (any kind will do), add a can of some sort of broth, and add water (or skip the broth if you don't care about flavor/want sodium-free soup instead of low-sodium) and there you have it. So easy anyone could do it.

Two senior US government scientists have revealed that chemicals in soy could increase the risk of breast cancer in women, brain damage in both men and women, and abnormalities in infants. They also do a lot of good things though so weigh the pros and cons I guess. It's like jalapeños (or any capsicum-containing pepper) - they have been shown to decrease the risk of most forms of cancer, lower cholesterol, aid in weight loss, and reduce the amount of insulin needed after consuming food. On the other hand, it increases the risk of stomach cancer. Seems like a fair trade if you ask me.

No it isn't.... They have a chance to live. It's better for hunting than it is for animals to be kept in cages their entire lives and deffinitely having the fate of being killed.

And killing animals for the fun of it is wrong, however killing them for the purpose of food I found no problem with.
