| The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Anaheim Angels today 1-0. Jered Weaver and Jose Arredondo combined to give up 0 hits and 1 run.
The Dodgers become the 5th team since 1900 to win a game without a hit.

| Weaver pitched 6 innings and gave up 0 hits, 0 ER and still got the loss. Why can't Zito get losses like this? | |

Yeah, a few of those would be good for Zito. I mean 1 IP, 15 ER is nice but if he keeps that up they're liable to kick him off the team. Speaking of hard-luck losers, Justin Duchscherer lost yesterday to drop to 8-5. He went 8IP, 2H, 1ER and lost. Even worse for him is his ERA is UNDER 2.00 and he still has five losses. How is that possible?

| One out in the 7th and the Dodgers have just 2 hits (and no runs...they trail 1-0). The record for fewest hits over a 2 game stretch is 2 "accomplished" 12 times most recently by the 1996 Detroit Tigers. | |
