I'm thinking that Trammell sees Easley as a similar player to Sweet Lou and thinks that he should do well in the 2 hole. Easley is capable of hitting .280 if he can get his together.
Personally, I hope they get Dmitri out of the clean up spot and hit him or Higgy 2 hole with the other hitting at #3. I think the fact that Pena isn't playing may be a reason for this lineup as well. When there is more power in the lineup, Dmitri and Bobby will be used as "table setters" with Pena, Palmer and Munson providing the THUMP!
Or atleast we hope so.

Instead we have Jim Rome repeating the same jokes he's told for the past 2 years. If I were at home I would go do the streaming audio but I don't think the computer room guys here at work would go for that. Options Reply

Yeah, I hear ya. Is he also hoping that it is still 1999? Just like we say that Lombard has been given a decent look, so too must it be said that Easley has proven he can't handle the job. Sure he did fine for a few years but the last few years he has not been able to function there. How many chances does the guy get?

Wasn't Pena hitting sixth?
I'd let Santiago prove he can't hit there before your idea but that doesn't mean I don't like your idea. I certainly like it better than Easley hitting second.
