Let's see....the inning begins with a 5-pitch walk to the 7th batter, a routine flyball that should have been caught but Maggs got spooked by Granderson, a grounder to short that is legged out for a single, a foul pop that Rabelo doesn't field becaus he is afraid of the wall.....and we are lucky to come away with just 2 runs for the inning. And I sure wish Rod Allen would quite making excuses for the play of certain players. The bottom is that they are not doing the job. Period.

Why is it lately that every starting pitcher seems to be on a roll when they face the Tigers? Maybe our hitters are really that horrible. I'm beginning to think that Brandon Inge is. He had a season-long slump last season. And he's back in the same funk he was last year.

Both pitchers have given up 4 hits and 3 runs, but even though JV has 6 strikeouts and Garland has none, he also has those 4 walks where Garland has had none. The fifth inning of Tiger at bats will be telling. The question is: Can they answer those dirty socks?

JV has already thrown 38 more pitches than Garland. It'll be interesting to see who Leyland sends out next. He's up to 5 walks now. Must be getting tired. Too bad. He's gotten 71 strikes out of that 113 pitches so far. Good stuff.

What's with all the White Sox trrolls on our boards? I have counted 7 or 8 of them so far. It's getting really childish and old. Taking shots at a city because of it's economic problems is flat out wrong. Our fan abse has waited years for a good baseball team and even though we haven't had alot of success so far, it just angers me that these mo.rons come in here and talk smack to us like were the Yankees. I'm sure your bats will wake up. Leyland won't let that go on too long! He's a cool dude. I saw the Tigs at Fenway last year and I was sooo impressed with Nate that I try to follow him pitching now. We had Beckett and it was one of them Beckett moments. First pitch was a triple. And it was all downhill from there. He was so hot and cold last year, I'm hoping it won't be like that again. Tigers won that game. I missed dancing around to Dirty Water, but I guess in all I was okay with Tigs winning because you sort of knew it was not our year last year, and therefore I was rooting home the Tigers because of the magical turnaround they had. I'm 100% Nation, but also 100% baseball fan, so I love those types of stories. I also got to go to their last regular season win, in Detroit. My first trip out there. That was cool, Bonderman that time. You guys got some goooood pitching.....

These blowsocks announcers are the absolute WORST in the game. i agree with you saint i lived in iowa for a number of yrs and had wgn as one of my
cable stations and those two were absolutely awful....i live in ohio now and like listening to the guys in cleve cuz i cant pick up tiger gms and not rich enough
to have the games on extrainn.so i have to rely on redsox owned espn and yankee owned espn2. cuz thats all they show on espn...they never have ANYTHING
NICE TO SAY ABOUT THE OTHER TEAM.
