yeah, but he has a BIG truck. I drove a Toy Matrix from CA to MI in 2002, probably $200 for gas.

And think of the MPG he got at 100 mph. Maybe 7 or 10 mpg? Cars and trucks normally get the best (rated) pg at 50 to 55 mph.

Yeah, true. We spent like twice that for gas this summer though each way. The truck got like 20 MPG.

Did he say he drives that fast? I hated driving in Wyoming. The speed limit was 80 so I was going 85-90 MPH just to avoid pissing everyone else off on the road - I was still getting passed like crazy though. I don't like to go more than 80 or so.

and you can bet that air conditioning was running at full tilt!

It was hailing when we went through WY

In July!

It's still pretty chilly in the mountains in summer. We probably had 1 hailstorm going through that area in September.
