Tony Dungy (and the Colts) are a disgrace to the NFL.

Anyone watch last night's Titans/Colts game?

For those that did it should have been painfully obvious that Dungy (and his team) are a disgrace to the league.

The whole point of sport is to win. Last night Dungy had no intention of doing that. While I'm a fan of neither Cleveland or Tennessee, last night's game was very important for both teams. In such an important game you must attempt to win and Dungy was not interested in that.

During his halftime interview he stated that he was "happy" with the first half performance (even though they trailed) because Reggie Wayne had caught enough passes to become the NFL's receiving yards leader. Basically, "I am pleased with the first half because all personal accolades have been met. I could care less about how this game goes".

It would have been less disgraceful if Dungy would have forfeited the game at halftime - that's what he was basically doing anyways.

Now, there are those that argue the game is meaningless to the Colts so they should rest their players - they have a bye next week! The players COULD get hurt by playing. Well they COULD get hurt doing just about anything the next two weeks.

This behavior is not tolerated in other sports. Watch baseball in August. Teams that are out of it tend to play lots of young players. When they play contending teams they tend to play veterans to keep the integrity of the game going.

You could argue that Cleveland had their chances and should have won more games. That isn't fair - Cleveland played 16 games where the opponent cared and won 10 of them. Tennessee played 15 games where the opponent cared and won 9. They played one game where the opponent rolled over for them and won it.

Tony Dungy is a disgrace to the great state of Michigan and he has no place in the NFL.

Bill Belicheck is often criticized for "running up the score" but at least he's trying to play well. He doesn't rest his starters after a quarter of any game. Why? The whole point is to play as well as possible, not screw off for three quarters of a game.

Manning and company should forfeit their game checks - the certainly didn't earn them.

I agree! I watched the rest of the game [ after Family Guy ended] and the Colts treated it like an exhibition game. Even without Young, the Titans had no problem winning the game. The Browns got screwed! If I was the Browns head coach, the next time they play Indy, I have my players take a cheap shot at Manning. If he is injured, too fucking bad!


Fuck the Colts Organization, Manning, Dungy and and the city of Indianapolis! The NFL should never have let the Colts leave Baltimore either

It is! I think the NFL should either have 4 teams or eight teams in each conference make the playoffs: six teams don't work.
