It's just an AMAZING feeling of excitement and anticipation for the start of tonight's game!
I was really fortunate to experience both the '68 and '84 teams, but THIS season is really "Special" because nobody was expecting this Team to go this far!
I am ready! The beers are on ice, the chips and snacks are just waiting to be gobbled up!
Now, just waiting for the rest of the family and close friends to get here to cheer on our favorite Baseball Team!
Go Get 'Em Tigers! Sock it to 'Em! Bless You Boys! The Roar is Back!

I hear you loud and clear!
However, Leyland seems to have a Magic Touch with his moves and substitutions that I have the utmost confidence that he is doing the right thing!
It's almost like if it ain't broke, don't fix it!
I thought that Shelton would have been added to the Roster, but apparently Leyland and his staff do not have the confidence that Shelton would bring much to the team at this point of time.
.....by the way, Ernie Harwell is going to be doing the 2nd inning tonight on 1270 am!
Go Tigers!!!! Options Reply

However on one of the local newscasts they just talked about sports success in Detroit. Pistons had the best record in the NBA, same with the Wings in the NHL. WNBA title, Tigers in the World Series, Michigan ranked #2, hosted the All Star game and Super Bowl. Come on LIONS lol Options Reply

1 to 1...it's important the Tigers stay close until the 4th inning when their hitters have gone through the order at least once. The Tigers had a week off, so their timing might be a little off. That Guillen is a clutch hitter.

The Tigers didn't follow that rule and it hurt them. Hopefully the Tigers bats will come to life in the next couple of innings. Options Reply

Why was McCarver complaining that Edmonds' bunt attempt was a bad play. If Inge is going to play him far enough back, it sounds like a good play to me. Verlander just can't throw fat pitches to Albert in that situation. The ball was waving bye bye before it even got to the plate. Options Reply

Is the radar gun off? 94 is the fastest it has shown. That HR to Rolen read 79mph and Mcarver said it was a fastball. It looked like a change up but maybe about 84 or so. Even so, What the heck is Verlander doing throwing an off speed pitchup in the zone to a guy with a bad shoulder that can't get his bat around on a high fastball.
He doesn't look as though he has his normal pace on the ball.
That and the pitch to Pujols made no sense. Stupid stupid pitching.

If they can't pull this one out tonight, I'm pretty sure Leyland will find a way to get them back loose tomorrow.
That's what I love about baseball, you really can't predict anything. Say what you want about rust from too much rest, too tired after going 7 in the LCS, nagging injuries, hot bats, season series, and on and on. Of course, none of that compensates for the agony we fans go through. Options Reply

I knew there was a problem when I heard several of the Tigers on the radio yesterday, broadcasting live from some bar. Too much partying, too many accolades, too much favorable press--this team is playing like it is full of itself. That's why Verlander grooved so many pitches. The team started to believe the season was over. They came in as "heavy favorites" and really should not be favored like that over any playoff team. Options Reply

I dare say I have bit more knowledge of the game than you do....13 years varsity head coach, and have been playing the game for 31 years...successfully at both I might add.
Your lack of understanding of the game is evident by your constant overreaction to a bad game here and there. Options Reply
