Tigers lowering select 2010 tickets
More than 4,500 seats will be discounted for season plans

DETROIT -- The Tigers are lowering prices on select lower and upper box seats and freezing prices on all other tickets as part of their ticket plans for the 2010 season.

More than 4,500 seats at Comerica Park will be discounted for season tickets, and other sections have been re-branded to a different price level for individual games. All other ticket areas will see no increase for season-ticket holders.

The re-branded seats are mostly lower box seats down the outfield line toward the corners -- sections 112-114 along the right-field line, and sections 141-143 toward left. Those seats, which had been priced at $32-$39 this past season, will be discounted up to $9 in 2010.

The adjusted upper-deck seats are along the third-base and left-field line in sections 334-337. They ranged from $22 to $26 this past season, depending on the game, and will be lowered by $5 per ticket next year.

More than 5,800 seats in Kaline's Corner, Upper Reserved, Skyline and Bleacher sections will remain frozen price-wise at $12, $10 and $5, with the $5 seats available for all 81 home games.

"The Detroit Tigers organization will continue to provide fans and families with a viable opportunity to enjoy a day at Comerica Park," team president/CEO Dave Dombrowski said in a statement. "We are especially grateful for the passionate support Tigers fans demonstrate each season, and our focus has been to remain a value-based and affordable entertainment option."

Deposits for full and partial season-ticket plans are now being accepted, including 41- and 27-game plans. The plans offer discounts over individual game prices, from $22-$293 on the 27-game plan to $125-$964 on full-season tickets. Each plan guarantees tickets for the April 9 home opener, as well as postseason priority.

The $5 adult and kids value meals remain available for every home game, as will $5 parking in select lots.

The Tigers also announced scheduling for their annual offseason program. The winter caravan will take players, coaches and broadcasters across the region for events Jan. 21-22 before they return to Comerica Park for TigerFest on Saturday, Jan. 23.
