- I dont really like drive in movies, though. I get way too many mesquito bites cuz I am barely ever allowed to sit in the car and watch a movie.
Bring some bug spray next time The Ford Wyoming Drive In [ The last drive in theatre in Metro Detroit] doesn't have problems with bugs; [ at least when I go there] But I guess some drive ins out in wooded areas or in the country might have problems with insects That Sucks! But Drive Ins are cool Only about 500 left in the United States Including 11 in Michigan Back in the 1950's there were nearly 5,000 As late as 1985; There were over 2,500

| Well, I do prefer the cinema better. More movies to choose from, and at the drive in Im normally stuck with one ok/good movie and one shitty on. | |

Even the Lincoln Park Star 8 is no longer in business I went to the Qua Vadis all the time, growing up. Same with Wayne Theater, Wayne Drive in (4 screens!) For a list of theaters and drive ins that are gone, or still in operation check the site: Indoor theaters: http://www.waterwinterwonderland.com/moviehouse.asp Drive-ins: http://www.waterwinterwonderland.com/drivein.asp Amusement Parks of Michigan: http://www.waterwinterwonderland.com/amusement.asp There is an index at the top right of the screen that has all kinds of listings. When you select a theater or drive-in, it will tell you about it and show pictures if people have uploaded them. I will make a thread with these links.

| I like the Allen Park Theatre
It is owned by MJR
But is a second run movie house
It has 5 screens
It was once owned by Nicolas George
He once owned several movie houses and Drive Ins; including the old Fort George Drive In [ where stupid Meijer store is now] in Southgate
