I'm hoping for no snow along I-80 along Donner Pass next week...I'm going to Reno and I don't want to drive in the snow. I don't know how to put chains on my tires. I'm told I can hire someone to do it but I'd rather not have to bother.

I remember that all too well...except my last few years in CA we lived along Hwy 108, and the chain checkpoint was usually Twain Harte. Always felt sorry for the cub Sacramento TV reporters that got stuck broadcasting from Blue Canyon! brrrrrrr

I'm going Friday returning Sunday. I'm not worried about Reno, just the mountains along I-80 on the way to Reno.

i would be careful just incase because you never know.
