I may be wrong, but I think steeplechase is almost never run by high school students. I'd imagine the track setup would be expensive or something. It's like javelin....high schoolers never get to do that either.

Omg. So I got an A on my situps, A on pushups, and B on running. The running was HORRIBLE. I couldn't breath and the teacher had my inhaler. And then I was throwing up, except I wasn't because I had nothing to throw up because I didn't eat breakfast...

Idk how I did on the written part though...

geez, now I've heard it all! Why do they give letter grades for an individual portion of a physical fitness test?!? How about an overall score because a) nobody is perfectly fit; b) everyone has strengths and weaknesses in physical activity, whether limited by a chronic illness, injury, or whatever.

I know how you feel running and not having your inhaler. I have asthma too. A key is to use the inhaler BEFORE you run!

Well she is averaging it all together for our final grade, but idk what the final grade is yet because she hasn't posted it on student connect.

Most schools only have 2 sets of exams a year, so they have theirs in january or around christmas and then at the end of the year, but my school is annoying and has trimesters....

My school has them right before Christmas and right at the end of school, like most schools. ha!

Ha. Lucky.... I have to switch classes on monday, which sucks because I had friends in all my classes....

I'm sorry, but I think you'll end up finding some friends in your new classes as well.

Yah I know... But I just got used to everyone in these classes! haha.

I only switch classes once, and some of my classes stay the same year round.

But at least Bryon is in my English class next semester!

I hated junior high PE. It was so hard to get an A in. Your grade was entirely based on how fast you could run, how many pullups you could do, etc. And then the girls and boys had different scales that were way over-corrected. Even the fattest girls got A's in PE but only like the track superstars managed A's on the boys side. I got a B both semesters...the only 2 B's I got in Jr. High.

Luckily high school PE was effort-based. What's funny is tons of kids got Bs/Cs since they were lazy and what not. I managed an A since I tried.

I get A's in gym because it is all based on if you try. And Obviously if I push myself to where I can't breath, then I'm trying. And The teacher loves my because I taught the entire class how to erg and did a 1 hour erg piece when we were in the weight room one day....

Wow. All I did was max out in the weight room and my teacher loved me. But I maxed on like 3 different machines.

Wow. Yah I wanted to erg because I had to go to conditioning after so I was like whatever I'll erg the entire class period. and It was on the highest setting. So she loved me for the entire trimester.

Well then. I just benched 150, leg pressed 220, and deadlifted 245. He was like, wow your pretty athletic. I was like no way!

I couldn't do that. ha

Lol. I dunno how many people can, But Ive been shown up quite a deal.

That's how gym should be. Luckily that's how it was in high school....of course after my sophomore year I didn't take PE and even if I got a C who cares - colleges don't look at PE grades. Still, an A is an A.

If it is albuterol (Provental) it will prevent an attack. My Allergist has had me use my inhaler BEFORE doing things that induce asthma attacks for years! I always use it before exercise, or cutting the grass, or shoveling snow. My asthma is induced by exercize, and also allergens (grass).

My inhaler is albuterol. And wow, I never knew that. My asthma only really matters when I'm excercising, and then I have some problems. Which sucks with rowing....
