It says that in 1932 the New York Yankees played 156 games. They were 108-47-1. So the answer would be that they tied a game and had to play another one right??

Just got back from class....

Here's how it works:

If a game goes at least 5+ innings (or 4.5+ if the home team leads) all stats are official. If a game goes this long and is called due to rain or anything else AND the score is tied, the stats are official but the game is replayed (starting last year they continue from where they left off - before they started over so the game doesn't count). The games aren't ties because they replay them.

With the new rules this can happen:
A guy has 499 career home runs. The 0-0 game is called after 5 due to rain and will be replayed on a later date.

In the mean time the guy hits 5 home runs. Now, the game is continued (the guy has hit 504 home runs so far). In this continued game the guy hits a home run...THAT home run is the 500th of his career despite the fact it's the 505th time he's hit a HR in a regular season game.

I just gave you the answer! They had 2 games that were called due to rain but were tied. They weren't official games (there was no winner or loser) but the stats ARE official. If you played you get credit for it, but the team doesn't get credit.
