Yes I believe that's their claim to fame! Although I think its supposed to be like Vegas...what happens there stays there.

I think they had a reception + food option! We just went back to the Pioneer where we all were staying and had the reception in a suite.

I love Michigan. Except for the gas prices and the governor and the economy and... wait... why do I stay here? Oh yeah, the lake. I couldn't possibly live without the lake.

haha the hubs and I were discussing moving out of state the other night. We were both like... uhhhhhhhh but the LAKE! :haha: We are total water babies. Neither one of us can even imagine not living right here on Lake Michigan. I suppose I could live near the ocean but the ocean is so dirty compared to the lakes. I suppose I could live in a different state in this region but this place is beautiful. Now if only we could get that damn woman out of office... yesterday Rolling Eyes

however, swiss pays more....something like 6 or 7 dollars a gallon is what he estimated it coming out to, comparing francs to dollars

And in Canada they pay in liters!

Things are tough all over!

When I was in England a few years back gas was £0.99. I took a picture and said "look how cheap gas is in Europe!". Of course what I wasn't telling them is it was in Pounds, not dollars and in liters, not gallons. At the time that came out to about $7.50 a gallon.

Last time I checked here gas was $4.27. That was on Monday though.

I want to live in Wyoming. Sick of so many people in Michigan.

Except, I'm pretty sure they don't get games out there.

sure about that? With the exception of Cheyenne and surrounding suburbs, you're pretty much in the middle of nowhere! I drove through it in 2002....very stark and no people except along I-80!

Good God, no! Have you been to Wyoming? It sucks. I mean it really sucks. Driving through there last summer they kept advertising Laramie on billboards for about 250 miles. When we finally got to Laramie it was 27,000 people. Now that's all well and good - my town is about that size - but you'd have thought you were going to Los Angeles thew way they talked about that town for so long.

Prior to that they advertised the hell out of Rawlins, Wyoming. That's only 8,700 people.

After Cheyenne they kept promising us great things in Pine Bluffs - that town has less than 1,200 people.

Yeah, what she said! I drove through there (I-80) in 2007 and it hasn't changed!

I purchased gas yestrday for $3.85. I checked
http://www.gaspricewatch.com/new/default_V3.asp and found $3.90 available from FL to MI. It generally ran from $3.95 to $4.20.

I drove there along I-80 in 2006 and totally fell in love with Cheyenne and an even smaller town named Buffalo (south of Sheridan I believe). The desolation didn't bother me whatsoever. The air was so clean and the people were so sweet. (And the storms were to die for, it doesn't get much prettier than seeing lightning strike a mountaintop.)

I'm a desolation kind of gal.
