Actually, my uncle and his wife live next door to their daughter and her husband :haha:

My family gets along pretty well. Parents and children don't get along, be my sister, brother and I do!

My brother is really cool. And it's awesome cause I hear all about rowing from him, and I learn about people who I will be on crew with next year so hes cool.

And my sister, well, I just talk non-stop around her. She takes me to the mall and guitar lessons and stuff, so we get along..

My sister and I go to the movies all the time!

my brother and I just talk about rowing, and friends. lol. And as soon as we are both out of school for the summer we are going to start running together....

You're probably right. My sister and I didn't always get along (although now we do) but if I honestly think about it, despite what I said I never actually hated her...still don't.

Not quite. Game starts at 6:40 local time (it's 3:11 now). The stadium looks to be about a 15 minute walk from here. I haven't walked it to test but I'd bet my life it takes less than half an hour. Gates probably open 1.5 hours early so I'll leave 2 hours early (4:40). Actually, since I have problems and can't ever get places on-time (by that I mean I'm always way too early) I'll probably leave at 4:20 which will give me 20 extra minutes to stand in the sun.

EDIT: I just checked. Gates open 2 hours early (4:30 tonight). I'll probably leave at 4:15 then.

Most hotels aren't that close to Comerica Park.


There are some in the city. But a lot of them in the suburbs; Dearborn, Southfield, Romulus. { Metro Airport]

Yeah, my motel (Super 8 :haha: ) is very close. If you stand in the parking lot you can sort of see the stadium. Walk about half a block and then turn left and walk 10-12 minutes (I'd guess) and you're there!


This neighborhood doesn't look too bad. I screwed up getting here and couldn't figure out how to get in the parking lot (most entrances are exit-only and have gates) so I drove a few blocks out of my way. Another couple blocks in any direction is pretty run-down it seems.

Most of the best hotels in Metro Detroit are in the suburbs!

But there are some nice ones downtown

That room posted was last night's room in Bermuda Dunes, CA. I'm not there tonight I'm at your standard Super 8. It's a lot tinier. The place last night was cheap because it was a last minute deal on hotwire.com and I had some hotwire bucks to use towards it that were about to expire. That's the only reason I stayed there last night.

This place was reserved months ago. I'd have stayed somewhere a hair nicer but the only other hotels within a couple blocks are like 4 and 5 star hotels and cost $150+ a night. No thanks.

The main thing is you got a room close to the stadium.


I bet it be a lot higher for a WS or All Star Game or Super Bowl!

Hotels were booked solid thoughout Metro Detroit months before Super Bowl XL

Tell him to pretend he knows you as well as he knows metsfan6986. Don't tell him I told you to say the last part. I think he should post whatever he wants but if you don't want him to at least get him posting something.
