So they aren't changing the date?

That seems odd that the senate would unanimously approve something and then the house wouldn't approve it. I applaud the house for having brains. How can there not be a single senator who knows what they're doing?

Local stations can. I think the ones near me have but I don't know/care.

Most stations have been digital for at least 2 years, but have also transmitted analog too. The difference is that they are transmitting lower power digital now. When they go digital only, then they will bump up the power and the range will be further and the signal clearer.

The stations in my area (we only have 2) said they were going ahead on the original date.... but the government stepped in and ordered them to wait. The govt. said not enough people had bought digital tvs or converters yet in the area...idiots... due to only two stations, with only one coming in good, 99% of the area has cable or dish/direct tv. That shows what idiots the Fed govt. is.

Nielsen says 95% of Americans are ready. Something tells me that when the new date comes along 95.1% will be ready. By now most people who haven't converted won't until they have to.

wonder how much quicker people would be if told the Koreans had dropped a bomb on L.A.?
