New Members

Due to problems we've had with trolls here, for the time being all new members must be approved by an administrator. If you are already a member this won't effect you.

While we would love to have more members, the happiness of our current members is our #1 priority. We encourage you to invite all or your friends over here, but for the time being they will be unable to participate without permission from one of the 3 admins.

I meant to discuss this with you, too but SoulKangaroo and I have been banning new users left and right the last day or so. Since banning an IP address is rather ineffective (it's easy to get a new one) this is the best way to combat trolls!

I saw that thread With our new security feature this shouldn't be a problem. Actually, this will work better. While banning IP addresses it turns out we accidentally banned Pudgemaggs (because her screen name is right next to PatSox). It took me forever to figure this out because we have 2 list of banned members: Names, and IP addresses. Her name wasn't in the names one, but her IP address WAS in the IP address banned list. I unbanned all the IP addresses and won't use that feature again...

This new feature is much more error-proof. I guess I should thank the trolls for this!
