mlb.tv improved this year.

Last year mlb.tv was 400 and 700k. Now it is 400 regular and 800k to 1.2MB video speed (TV Quality) for premium. You can buy dvd recorders for $49 at Walmart that has svideo and you can feed the video through it from computer video cards and sound out headphone jack to copy games. I tried it with verlanders no hitter at 400k and it recorded excellent (you can edit out the commercial breaks.) This is great for us distance fans who do not have fsn detroit.

I will be getting the premium package this year for the 1.2mb speed! Lots of spring training games and all regular season games. You can watch all games, even in the off season, for all teams! I have been watching our new Tigers (Renteria, Atlanta, and Cabrera/Willis with Marlins.

At the new 1.2 all you need is DSL broadband (mine with AT&T clocked at over 2200mb, so no problem there!

Seriously though I'll have to buy that soon. I wish they'd make it on sale earlier - like during the Christmas season. Being a jobless student I receive most of my income in December and late April (for my birthday)

With the $600 I have to spend on parking and the $950 UCLA charged me a few weeks ago for I still can't figure out what - it was related to last summer I might have to take money out of my savings for the first time in 3 years.

I'll buy that the day before the first Tigers Spring training game they plan on showing. I've got a few checks at home waiting for me from my various websites where I make money so that will cover mlb.tv for this year.

I had it last year, too. I just wish I could watch Saturday games when they're on FOX. Stupid FOX

What's great about mlb.tv is I can use it in LA, my dad's house, my mom's house, or those nights where I'm in motels somewhere.

And this year, if you buy the yearly package, it will give you access to last years games (2007) at the higher speed. I only had the reg package and could not watch the 700k, only 400k. When I paid the other day, now I can see last season at 700k, which was the fastest they had then. I did not know it would be retroactive for last season picture quality.

Can't wait to see the 800k and 1.2MB video speed this year. Since the reg. package is $89.95 and prem is 119.95, is sounds worth the $30 difference.

And mosiac sounds interesting. Watch one game and have it track our old Tiger players, realtime! Or watch 6 games at once.

Yeah, it was worth the difference last year.

As for the mosaic, they kept promising this one version of mosaic with one giant picture and a couple small ones on the screen but we never got it - it just said coming soon all year. Maybe we'll get it this year.

I hope they will allow us to use the old full screen viewer this year so I can patch out to my DVD recorder and TV. The new viewer came on last month, but there was a place to choose the old version.

I'm sure you can still use full screen. I can't imagine they'd take that away.

I got an email from them saying they were going to renew my subscription from last year. That's fine. Then it said I could cancel or something.

I don't care if they auto-renewed for me, but I'd like to know for sure and I'd like to know which card they put it on...

I was going to sign up manually but now I need to wait. I want a different username because my regular email address is banned at the Tigers message board. I post in their GDT's from time to time.

Can't wait for the season to start again! MLB.tv is the only way for me to see live or on-demand baseball games here.

I got a shuttle pc with installed mosaic software and a new sharp LCD. This will surely rock with the enhanced bandwith they offer this year.

I am ready for the new season!
