| Well, I was sort of bored. I decided to make a thread for this particular former Tiger. Here's some information about Mr. Moehler: *Made his debut in a Tigers uniform on September 22, 1996. *Started the final game at Tiger Stadium *Started the first game at Comerica Park *Received his first save in the 2007 with the Astros againsts the Braves *Has played for
- Detroit Tigers (1996-2002)
- Cincinnati Reds (2002)
- Houston Astros (2003)
- Florida Marlins (2005-2006)
- Houston Astros (2007-present)

So, I am guessing that you were there? That is really cool. I've seen him in Houston, that's it. |

| Brian MoehlerFrom Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Brian Moehler (b. December 31, 1971 in Rockingham, North Carolina) is a relief pitcher with the Houston Astros. Moehler pitched for the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and was selected by the Detroit Tigers in the sixth round of the 1993 draft, who assigned him to the Niagara Falls Rapids.[1] After the 1993 season Moehler moved on to the Jacksonville Suns, where he pitched until late 1996, when he was called up the Tigers.[2] Moehler pitched for Detroit from 1996 through 2002, and he was the starting pitcher for the Tigers' inaugural game at Comerica Park in 1999. He went on to pitch for the Cincinnati Reds in 2002, the Houston Astros in 2003, and the Florida Marlins 2005-2006. During his stint with Detroit he gained national media attention when he got caught scuffing the baseball and was briefly suspended. On January 19, 2007, Moehler signed a one-year contract with the Houston Astros;[3] at the end of spring training he earned a relief spot on the roster.[4] On August 2nd, 2007, Moehler achieved his first save in Atlanta against the Braves. | |

| Astros lose slim lead, but tie Tigers Moehler pitches five scoreless frames; Pence exits with knee bruise
ASTROS 1, TIGERS 1, 11 innings at Lakeland, Fla. Tuesday, March 17
Astros at the plate: Houston's lone run off Justin Verlander came about after Hunter Pence and Carlos Lee drew back-to-back walks leading off the fourth. Miguel Tejada's flyout advanced Pence to third, where he took off for home once second baseman Placido Polanco took a tumble behind first base on Geoff Blum's popout.
Tigers at the plate: Timo Perez picked up his hot hitting from Monday with a pair of singles in his first two at-bats, but was stranded in scoring position each time. He now has eight hits in his past three games. Scott Sizemore launched a solo homer in the eighth inning.
Astros on the mound: Former Tiger Brian Moehler felt at home again on the mound at Joker Marchant Stadium, tossing five scoreless innings of four-hit ball with a walk and three strikeouts in his best performance of camp. Chris Sampson pitched a scoreless inning of relief for the second time in four days.
Tigers on the mound: After dealing with high pitch counts in each of his last few outings, Verlander turned in the strongest outing of Spring Training by any Tigers pitcher with six innings and the lone run allowed. He retired Houston's first seven batters in order and did the same with the final nine Astros he faced. Just as impressive, he needed just 68 pitches to do it. Casey Fien pitched a scoreless seventh.
Grapefruit League records: Astros 1-14-3; Tigers 7-9-1
Coming up: Mike Hampton will try to build on his four scoreless innings from last outing when he takes the mound against the Yankees on Wednesday afternoon at 12:05 p.m. CT at Osceola County Stadium. Chien-Ming Wang will start for the Bombers. | |
