This will be Verlander's final start of the regular season, which means it's his last showcase in a bid for back-to-back American League Cy Young Awards. He threw a four-hit shutout against the Twins on July 4.



Twins: RHP P.J. Walters (2-4, 5.88 ERA)

Walters was sharp against the Tigers in Game 2 of a doubleheader on Sunday, delivering his first quality start since May 27. The right-hander allowed just one run on five hits over six innings.
