Scherzer left his last start after just two innings with fatigue in his deltoid muscle, but his throwing sessions over the past few days make him believe it won't be a factor. He fanned 10 Twins in seven scoreless innings in an August start.



Twins: LHP Scott Diamond (11-8, 3.69 ERA)

Diamond suffered his second straight loss on Sunday, surrendering six runs on seven hits in 5 1/3 innings of a 9-2 loss to the White Sox. The southpaw totes a 7.36 ERA over his last five outings.
