Tigers: RHP Doug Fister (9-9, 3.65 ERA)

Errors cost Fister four unearned runs to the Twins in their last meeting a month ago in Minnesota. He's hoping for better fortunes this time. Fister's also eyeing better command, especially with his breaking ball, which cost him Monday in Chicago.



Twins: RHP Samuel Deduno (6-4, 3.84 ERA)

Deduno struggled with his control again on Saturday against the White Sox. Deduno, making his 13th start, gave up four runs on three hits and five walks over just four innings to get saddled with the loss.

• C Victor Martinez (left knee surgery, 60-day disabled list on March 12).
• OF Ryan Raburn (right quadriceps strain, 15-day DL on September 11).
