Tigers: RHP Max Scherzer (5-4, 5.88 ERA)

If Scherzer can come anywhere close to his previous Interleague outing this season, last month's 15-strikeout gem against Pittsburgh, he'll be pleased. But he'll have to get back to that form to do it after a rough outing against Cleveland last week.



Cubs: LHP Paul Maholm (4-5, 5.10 ERA)

Maholm has had a tough time going deep in games, and is winless in his past five starts. He does not have a quality start since May 9, which also was his last win. He has two career starts vs. the Tigers and is 0-1.
