Tigers: RHP Justin Verlander (5-1, 2.14 ERA)

Once again, Verlander is rounding into his best form in May. He has allowed just 16 hits over 30 innings with 33 strikeouts in four starts this month, including his no-hit bid into the ninth and complete-game one-hitter Friday against the Pirates.



Indians: RHP Justin Masterson (1-3, 5.04 ERA)

Masterson rebounded from a poor outing in Boston by allowing only two runs in seven innings against the Marlins on Friday night. Masterson issued three walks and struck out five in the no-decision.

• RHP Al Alburquerque (right elbow surgery, 60-day disabled list on April 4).
• RHP Luis Marte (strained left hamstring, 15-day disabled list on April 4).
• C Victor Martinez (left knee surgery, 60-day disabled list on March 12).
