Tigers: RHP Doug Fister (0-1, 0.54 ERA)

These last two starts since returning from the disabled list have to remind Fister of his Mariners days, with great pitching nullified by low run support. His six innings of one-run ball last Saturday at Oakland weren't enough to earn him a victory.



Twins: RHP P.J. Walters (0-1, 3.00 ERA)

Walters was impressive in his Twins debut, allowing just two runs on six hits over six innings. He also struck out five and walked none but didn't receive much help from the Twins' offense in a loss.

• RHP Al Alburquerque (right elbow surgery, 60-day disabled list on April 4).
• RHP Luis Marte (strained left hamstring, 15-day disabled list on April 4).
• C Victor Martinez (left knee surgery, 60-day disabled list on March 12).
