04/02/2012 1:23 PM ET

The Toledo Mud Hens will start the 2012 campaign on Friday, April 6 at Fifth Third Field at 5 p.m. versus the Indianapolis Indians. The team's opening seven-game homestand will kick off the 11th season of baseball in downtown Toledo's Fifth Third Field. In 2010, Nevin skippered Erie to a 66-76 record and he spent the 2009 campaign with the Orange County Flyers in the Golden Baseball League. Nevin played with Toledo briefly in 1995 and 1997 and played 1,217 major league games, including 160 games with Detroit.

Hitting Coach Leon "Bull" Durham (12th season), Pitching Coach A.J. Sager (fifth season), Athletic Trainer Matt Rankin (12th season), and Strength Coach Kyle Bergman (second season) round out the field staff.
