I have used MLB.tv for the past two years and with broadband internet it has been great! You can't get games in your market though. I can watch all tiger games unless they are playing Pittsburgh, Cinnc or Indians. I live in ohio. If you are out of state, it is great. I can watch all of 2007 games all winter long in the off season for any team except the three I mentioned. You need to check what your market area is.

When Tigers play Indians I can see those games on dish network's STO (sports time ohio).

I am watching Verlanders no-hitter now. I did not realize I had access to last seasons games all winter long! Had I known, I would not have purchased this game from MLB and then be told I had used up my time watching it!

This next year I will probably buy the 700mbps version instead of the 400mbps. Better picture quality and you can watch several games at once with mosiac (700 speed).

Update, I just checked and I have video access to 10 spring training games from last year. The other games were audio. So I can at least hear the spring training games, this year, if they are not video! You have video to all regular season games, even in market, after the game is over, during the regular season and during the off season. In market games are audio only during the actual game. I just upgraded, off season, to 700mbps access and on my computer it is VERY close to tv quality.

That's all true but you may or may not realize that once the game is over you can watch it even if it was a blacked out game. I live in the LA market and after the game is over I can go back and watch those blacked out games. Personally I like DirecTV's extra innings better but I get mlb.tv since I spend a great deal of time in LA at my apartment, my mom's house, and my dad's house. I'm not about to pay for Extra Innings 3 times. With mlb.tv you can watch anywhere as long as you have internet access.
