The Detroit Tigers have a long, storied history. Our archives of past media guides show how coverage of the game of baseball has evolved over the years. These "Information Guides" have grown from small pamphlets, to 400 pages today, and the amount of detail within these guides has grown along with the sport. We will add additional media guides periodically until a complete library from 1961 to today is available for all Tigers fans to view online.

Tigers 2012 Publications available to Tigers fans everywhere
Tigers media guide, yearbook and magazine provide exclusive content for fans

DETROIT – The Detroit Tigers 2012 Publications, including the Tigers Media Information Guide, Tigers Yearbook and Tigers Magazine Issue No. 1 are now available to Tigers fans everywhere.

Tigers fans have the opportunity to gain access to a book that is used by media members as an essential tool of their trade. With 472 pages of Tigers information, the Media Guide is perfect for those fans in quest of in-depth Tigers information. It includes player, coach and front office personnel bios, statistical information covering everything from each player’s year-by-year numbers to Tigers historical records, and a plethora of other Tigers information and tidbits.

The Tigers Yearbook serves as an excellent yearly souvenir for Tigers fans. This year’s book contains special baseball card style player pages, complete with stats. A special feature takes a look back at American League Cy Young Award Winner and Most Valuable Player Justin Verlander’s historic 2011 season and the elite group of Tigers players he joined by winning the awards.

The first of five editions, Tigers Magazine takes a look at Prince Fielder who shares with readers how it feels and what it means to be playing for the team he spent so much time with as a child. Tigers fans get a glimpse of Justin Verlander’s eventful off-season, which included commercials, an appearance on the Conan O’ Brien Show and being selected as the cover of the new MLB2K12 video game. Additionally, Tigers fans get the scoop on how Tigers’ utility man Don Kelly prepares for almost every position on a daily basis.

Also available to Tigers fans is Six: A Salute to Al Kaline. “Six” is a unique collection of articles and never-before-seen photographs that captures what Kaline has meant to the storied Tigers franchise, his teammates, a legion of loyal fans and the entire baseball world.
