350 bucks a year increase in property taxes, Granholm's 23 new taxes and Mafia Mike jacking up tickets! Looks like 2008 might be my last year as a ticket holder and a Michigan resident

SF is better. Stay away from S. California - it sucks! The only thing Beverly Hills has going for it is Rodeo Drive. I don't see why that's so great - there's expensive shopping everywhere. Hell, even in my hometown we have expensive places to shop...

Walmart wants to build a store next to Sears in the Lincoln Park Shopping Center! However, local leaders and groups in LP are against it! Despite the fact that most of the stores in the Center are vacant! Dunham's Old Navy, F M, Harmony House and the former Lincoln Park Star theatre all are vacated

Why have Wal Mart pay property taxes when you can fleece it out of the residents!

We need a Wal Mart in LP! I bet Meijer is behind the anti Wal Mart Movement! Nothing wrong with competition; Years ago, LP had supermarkets like Great Scott! A@P, Chatham and the recently defunct Farmer Jack!

Isn't Meijer better than Wal-Mart? Just have more Meijers. Or get a Target...they're better than Wal-Mart, too!

In addition to LP There are Meijer stores in Southgate, Taylor and Allen Park! Also in Woodhaven! And hundrends more throughout Michigan and Ohio! A Target would be good! Either at the Sears shopping Center or the LP Plaza where Farmer Jack and CVS used to be!

We have Wal-Mart and Target right by my house in Paso Robles. I'd trade them both for a Meijer.

Meijer has stores in Ohio and Michigan and Indiana and I think Kentucky! They are supposed to expand in the Chicago area later this year!

They are a regional chain! Target and Wal Mart are national chains

However WalMart was once regional! Arkansas? I think that is where they started

I think Target started in Minneapolis! but I could be wrong!

Yeah, I wish we could get them in CA. Other products I'd like to see:

• Faygo
  
• Combos (those pretzel things with cheese)
  
• Kogels (or something...they're hot dogs)
  
• Good pizza
  
• Meijer
  

I'm sure I forgot some other stuff, but that's all I can think of at the moment.

Speaking of cool stores, we need El Corte Ingles in the USA. They have them in Spain and Portugal. The one in Lisbon is 7 stories tall plus 3 stories of basements. It's like the size of a Meijer or something but 10 total floors! It has a grocery store, movie theaters, everything! Unlike a mall you can check out all at once instead of at individual shops! There aren't individual shops!

You can even walk around the store (even the grocery part lol) smoking and drinking beer - they have bars and restaurants, too!
