I wish baseball could be like that again; players didn't make that much money; many didn't make that much more than the average worker did; tickets were cheaper; pitchers went 9 innings and often more
I also loved when the fans stormed the field after the Tigers won in 1968;
Never see that happen again; In a way; maybe it is best I don't have a job right now; why should I spend nearly 1,200 dollars for postseason tickets and you can't run on the field anyway
And Ilitch too; He cut out the full season ticket holder party this year; all you could eat hot dogs, hamburgers, nachos, brats, ice cream, soda and water; plus there was a raffle; Mario interviewed Leyland and a couple of Tigers players too in front of the dugout; you could play catch on the OF grass; instead I get to run the bases after Sept, 3rd game against Cleveland;
