Granderson Is Now a Bench Player

Josh Anderson will make the most of this opportunity

LAKELAND - The Tigers have been busy with the news of prospects Rick Porcello and Ryan Perry making the opening day roster and Ryan Raburn to St. Louis trade rumor. Now Leyland has made a shocking statement - Josh Anderson will displace Curtis Granderson as the centerfielder and lead-off hitter.

"I like Granderson a lot," Leyland admits. "But Anderson gives up more speed that we are looking forward to utilizing. I expect 50-60 stolen base attempts out of Anderson."

Leyland announced that Granderson will be a late innings defensive replacement and the Tigers primary pinch hitter.

Sure am. You have to work on something like this for awhile. Been sleeping on the couch for a week to make this seem real.

She will be pissed if the kids can lay there and be still, and find out that the past week has been just to set this up. Well worth it.

* Placido Polanco is wearing Adam Everett's jersey. Everett is now dressed in Santiago's jersey, and Santiago has Polanco's jersey.
* Brandon Inge and the bat boy have traded jerseys.
* Carlos Guillen has Mike Hessman's jersey.
* Magglio is wearing Al Kaline's jersey.

So in today's game, when it said Granderson batted leadoff, was it really Curtis or Josh???

April Fools must have been going on for 2 years now. I remember some black guy who struck out popped out and fouled balls alot and had a very bad attitude wearing Trammells jersey for 2 years.

The only .295 average Inge is capable of is an on-base average of .295.

Inge led the Tigers in ST with 5 home runs and had a .271 batting ave. Not bad for him.
