Best player from your city/town

This question was posted on MLB.com board and now I'm posting it here.

I've stated before, that John Smoltz is from my home city of Warren, MI. Les Norman is also from Warren. That's cool since I thought Smoltz was the only one from Warren, even if Norman was less than an all-star.

Apparently, NHL player Doug Weight is also from Warren. He won a silver medal in the 2002 Olympics, has appeared in multiple all-star games and won a Stanley Cup, so I guess he's good.

So, who made it to the big show from your city/town? (I already know who catbox is going to say .)

Arnold Earley, Larry Pashnick and Del Wilber are all from Lincoln Park.

Casey Blake (Indians, now Dodgers) is from Iowa, my home state.

Hal Rhyne is the best person to be born here. Jason Botts would be second. They're both not very good.

The best person to die here would be James Dean. He wasn't a player but nobody good ever dies here.

Here's a list of all players from Iowa if you want to narrow it down to somewhere closer to where you lived.

Nate McLouth, plays outfield for the Pirates.
