And I had just finished typing a long post that will never get read. Here's the post directed at tigersfanatl:

Obama could win without any help from the South (assuming New Mexico and California don't count as Southern states just because they touch the border):

CA, OR, WA, NM, CO, IA, IL, MN, WI, MI, PA, MD, NJ, NY, DE, CT, RI, MA, VT, NH, ME, HI, and DC gives him 273 votes.

If he can pull off Montana or North Dakota he could lose New Mexico and still win. If he wins both of those he could lose New Mexico and Hawaii and still win (in case you consider Hawaii a Southern State, too). That last scenario is pretty much impossible of course as Hawaii will not vote Republican.

Stupid board We're supposed to have free speech no matter how stupid. The Supreme Court once ruled IN FAVOR of the American Nazi party that wanted to have a demonstration in Skokie, Ill (a town with a large Jewish population and quite a few Holocaust survivors).

While I myself am not an anti-Semite (I happen to know/like/respect some Jewish people personally) I do agree with that ruling. The rally, while in incredibly poor taste, did not cause harm to anyone and nobody was forced to attend.
